Brush, Brush, Brush

Zander has been really fascinated by a lot of things lately, especially brushing teeth. Instead of trying to keep him from grabbing mine all of the time, we've been brushing our teeth together. Mostly, he just looks in the mirror at himself while chewing on the end, and is still a little confused by the spitting part.

Zander got some new toys this week. He loves the plastic Fisher Price rings, so we got these more advanced ones for the future. We also broke down for the exersaucer since he loves standing to play- that was more about space in our little apartment than the idea of owning one- but with some re-arranging, I found some room. Below is a hilarious video of him enjoying both it, and entertainment provided by dad and Rasta.

Mini-Show

Well, it's a day late because Zander has been under the weather unfortunately. Seems like he is beginning to feel better finally, which hopefully means we can all catch up on some much needed sleep, and Zander can get back to playing again. Here are the photos I promised of some of his newest adventures. Also, today we got him a passport to visit family in Ireland next month- a last minute trip we'll be taking with Grandma Cookie and Grandpa _______. I'm not sure we'll ever slow down!

7 Months!

Today marks 7 months already for Zander! Although he hasn't been feeling well, thanks to teething we think, we were able to sneak about 20 minutes of happiness today to get some pictures.

In this 20 minutes, Zander discovered the art of sticking out his tongue. He was mimicking us, which was pretty funny!

Although it looks like it here, he really isn't all that interested in crawling. He is rolling from back to belly more regularly, but not really from belly to back.

He said, "I'm just too cool for that mom..."

He wasn't, however, too cool to take a picture by his lion. If you remember back to his 1st month, he is just a little closer to its' size now.

And, while he isn't too interested in the whole crawling thing, he has a heck of a time dancing!

Talkin' and Rollin'

It takes about 2 minutes, but here is a clip of Zander rolling over. He's starting to do it a bit more regularly now, although once he's on his belly, it only lasts so long. Enjoy!

Just Too Cute!

I just thought I'd share this picture with you all because I think it's super cute! Zander went for his 6 month check-up today (even though he's almost 7 months). As you might imagine, he's at the top of his charts in all categories.
weight: 22 lb 2 oz (95%) - hey, he's not off the chart anymore...
height: 28 1/4 inches tall (95%)
head: 18.5 inches (off the chart- Dr. seemed a little concerned, but Brent has a big head too)
He had a clean bill of health otherwise, and finally has 2 little bottom teeth coming through the gums. He's been taking it like a champ, and for some reason, chewing on playing cards seems to be the best remedy so far, go figure =)

Our computer charger is having some issues, and we haven't been able to access our pictures for a week. Brent rigged it to work temporarily until the new one comes, so hopefully there will be enough battery charged up for me to do the CA slideshow in the morning. Sorry for those of you who have been patiently waiting!

First Superbowl Party

Last Sunday was Zander's first Superbowl party. We had a great time, and are glad we invited ourselves over to our friends' house. Here Zander is with Laura (an Arizona native). At this point in the game, the Cardinals had just taken the lead. Notice Steph on the right- she'd turned to the rally cap...
And here he is after Steph convinced him to take the terrible towel... then they scored, and finished with a win. A great game!

And here is Zander with his favorite guy- David (well, besides his dad of course). He always smiles and sleeps for him (even though David usually drugs him...)
