Congrats Grandma and Grandpa!

For Memorial Day Weekend, we made a quick trip to Madison to surprise Grandma and Grandpa Cummins with a 40th Wedding Anniversary Party. Boy, were they surprised!!

Here I am with them at the "alter" where they renewed their vows. Mom cried. Their friends from college, the Flodder's came to surprise them (Ross was in their wedding 40 years ago!). Linda really liked me.

Fr. John did the ceremony. It's pretty cool to have such an important Godfather.

Mom did a terrible job with pictures (for once), and didn't really get any of me with my cousins/aunts/uncles. Here is the only one of me with Connor. Maybe in July when we have family vacation...

Tomorrow, mom will try again to post the videos of me moving. It's true- I can move all on my own now- all over the place! I have a pretty great army crawl/roll combo down, and can walk along the couches too. It's so much fun lying on my belly now!

Who Is This Crazy Rasta?

Lately, Zander thinks Rasta is super funny, and goes a little nuts around her...

Yeah, Mohawk!

We were thinking of starting to style Zander's hair like this all the time...

Short Laughing Session

10 seconds of the best laughing baby there is... Everything is funny to this guy!!

Mini-Slideshow (by Zander)

Hey da-da, what happened to your eye? What? You were playing frisbee at 6:30 in the morning and caught an elbow... silly da-da, you're supposed to catch the frisbee, not an elbow!

I sure do like hanging out with my da-da-da-da-da. I think we'll be very good friends.

This weekend, I went with my family to a wedding. We had lots of fun and even got to take our picture together in a photo booth. Somehow, I was the center of attention at our table...

I tried to hide from all the attention between da-da's legs, but people just got down on my level and thought I was SO cute.

I suppose I am. I am also very strong, and really like how I can hold onto this fabulous crib da-da and grandpa built for me. The slats are just the right size.

I've also taken to lounging like a big kid. I sat like this for quite a while, just hangin' out.

Seems to be one or the other... lounging or squirming. As for a crawling/walking update, I still can't really do either, but I can climb all over things and people, roll pretty well, and do the inchworm. Maybe I'll be really good at the 'worm'- I can practically do it in my crib!

Check back soon for my mohawk pictures. They're pretty fabulous!

10 Months Old!

Today, Zander is 10 months old. He is growing fast, learning lots, and SO much fun! We are so happy to have him in our lives, and to share him with all of you.

Here he is right-side up...
And here he is upside-down...

Here he is with da-da...

And ma-ma...

Check back tomorrow, since we have a few more photos and videos to share!

Belated Mother's Day

Zander and I had a wonderful Mother's Day together. We spent the morning playing, and took a nap together. Then, we went to a park with Brent and had a picnic, played a little frisbee golf, and untangled/flew a kite. Then, we came back to camp, and Brent made a fabulous dinner (Baked French Toast), and we ate on the deck. Then, a nice evening walk, and an attempt to camp, although unexpected cold weather brought us in at 1:45am. We hope all the other mom's we know had as great a day as we did!

Does This Count?

Earlier today, Zander got up on all fours, and I thought he was going to start crawling. Then, he got up on his hands and toes with straight legs, and I thought he'd move that way. Tonight, he was super interested in walking along the furniture. So, we let him practice 'walking' between Brent and I. I think he's just going to do it all in one day, instead of one before the other. He's already an expert climber when people are in the way- must get that from his mom...

What A Great Laugh!

I decided yesterday that if I ever lose my hearing, this may be the one sound I miss most...

Bath Time

Zander really likes taking baths, and since the sink was full of dishes, we moved to the tub. Here he is, crazy hair and all!

Starting To Get Moving!

Last night Zander was hilarious, and all of a sudden ready to go! Here he is trying to get some dominoes (who'd have thought that would be his motivation?), and also trying to stand on his own and walk. I tried to turn the video, but must have done something wrong, so you'll have to watch his standing sideways... sorry!

Playing in His Crib

Recently Zander has been waking up from his naps happy, and talking to his lion. Here's a little bit of that, and tomorrow- moving!

This Weekend in PA

This weekend, we had visitors- the Hallow family. This means Zander had a playmate, his new "buddy" Ana. They had lots of fun together. They played with magnets on the fridge,

Ana got Zander to eat all of his vegetables,

And they went swimming. It was a fun visit, and maybe we convinced Melissa to have another one?

Zander's also been growing- on May 11, we'll be at the doctor to know how much exactly. He's into 12 month clothes, which means he can support 'The Twincats' now (but he needs a CD, because he hasn't heard them yet).

He's also big into playing in his crib. Check tomorrow for videos of not only playing, but also some moving!! He's beginning to find out he can actually go places... exciting, but also means we won't be sitting still much longer!
