Sledding

Zander went sledding yesterday for the first time. We did take a couple videos (one where he didn't cry, but was wobbly as Ellen held Rasta with the other hand; and one that wasn't wobbly, but he cried because the snow sprayed up in his face...). Unfortunately, we're having technical difficulties getting it saved to our computer. As soon as we can, we'll put it on the site, but here are a couple cute photos beforehand.

8th State- New Jersey!

Zander has officially been to 8 states now (out of the womb), and will hit #9 by the end of the month- California. We just returned from a wonderful visit with our friends in Jersey, the Hallows. This trip also marked Zander's first swim, which as you can see, he didn't really hate or love. Ana was happy to see Zander and Rasta again, and help out when she could. She was proud to feed him (or "her" as she would say) all by herself.

6 Months!

Time has flown by, and if you've been keeping up with Zander, we've been keeping him busy these last few months. Here are some photos from the day he turned 6 months. He's getting big, grabbing everything (he loves lips, so watch out!), talking more, smiling and laughing more than fussing, eating cereal, sleeping longer (YAY!), belching louder, throwing things, ...

Sitting Up and Rolling Over

Something Zander has mastered lately is sitting up. He is getting better, where if he starts to topple over now, he can most of the time catch himself. This morning, he rolled over for the first time!! We were so excited just watching him it didn't occur to us to grab the video camera. His motivation... food from mom =) Hopefully he'll do it again soon, so we can show you. Just made it before the 6 month mark tomorrow!

Visit with Finn

On Tuesday, Zander got to meet another friend, Finn! Although Finn mostly just slept, fussed, and ate, Zander did try and touch him and talk to him (or maybe he was just talking for the heck of it). It was nice to see Claire and Drew and meet their beautiful son. Hopefully we won't wait another 5 years!

New Seat in the House!

Zander's chair for the table finally arrived. As you can see, he really enjoys sitting at the table with us, and not having food spilled on him (by sitting in our laps). And yes, he is just sort of hanging there- how fun is that?!!

Also, since we've returned we've begun trying to give Zander a little cereal. Hard to imagine, but this little guy is hungry ALL the time... Yesterday and today were pretty successful, and if nothing else- he enjoys the spoon!

Warm as a Monkey

For Christmas, Grandma and Grandpa Cummins gave Zander this monkey suit to stay warm in. It came in handy yesterday while we watched Brent hang stuff in the trees. It's a little big (room to grow in this winter), so don't be concerned he's grown 6 inches since you last saw him!

Sorry- this is several days late.  Zander had a bit of a time coming back and didn't really sleep for more than an hour or 2 for 3 days in a row.  I think we are finally catching up, which means the house can finally be unpacked and cleaned... fun!  Enjoy the slideshow.  Click on it to see it bigger if you'd like.
