Things Zander Likes

The weather has been ridiculously warm, therefore, required us to "re-open" the pool on our deck. Zander really likes it, especially when you fill it with lots of balls! (Ignore his 'man-boobs'- they make him self-conscious...)

Zander also enjoys all of his "da-da" time, even when da-da isn't feeling so hot.

He likes giant bags of carrots...

And also time in his crib after a long nap. Check back soon to see funny video of what Zander does in there. He's a goof!

If It's Food, I'll Reach It!

A funny thing happened on our walk the other day. Although Zander is getting taller, the tray on his stroller is still a little higher than he's able to reach without extra effort. Enjoy this funny video of him successfully able to reach his snack while strolling down the hill. Funny to watch from my view, and lasted the entire walk!

Short Update

As most of you have probably experienced, the weather seemed to skip spring this weekend, and head right into July. We did some time playing outside, but even in the shade, it got pretty hot.

Zander really enjoys bath time these days, and always takes a bath with his duck. Not that he asks for it or anything, but it does seem to keep him preoccupied so he doesn't play with the soap, faucet, or dish scrubbers.

And finally, although his hair is a little longer, and a little lighter than Brent's now, they still can pull off similar hairdo's. Funny, huh?!

Into Big Boy Pajamas...

Tonight, when we put on yet another pair of PJ's that didn't fit, we had to move into the next size- unfortunately, we don't have any footy 12mo pajamas, so now he's into the big boy kind. While I was very sad about this, Zander seemed to think it was hilarious...

9 Months Old

Friday, one of the most beautiful days of the year so far, Zander turned 9 months old. It's pretty amazing how time flies by!

For those of you who may not know, Zander still refuses to crawl. He absolutely LOVES standing up though, and attempts to let go- but quickly looks up to make sure your hand is still there. He must have heard Ainsley is already walking...

The goal initially was to take each month's picture with this lion, so you could see how he's been growing in comparison. We haven't done the lion lately, but here is Zander I think attempting to look like it.

And, with warmer weather, and more time outside, Zander is going to start discovering more things to put in his mouth- like pinecones.

He was fascinated with them, and spent a good amount of time trying to figure out how the sticky stuff got on his hands...

Talking Up A Storm!

He may not move much, but he sure can do some talkin'! Enjoy this video, and let me know if you can figure out what he's talking about?!
Zander has become a pro at the high-five! And this week, he has begun to perfect waving hello and bye-bye. Looks like I have to start remembering to sign more often... he catches on quick!

Crawling Take 2

This is from last month in Ireland, but still Zander's best effort at crawling. He is much more interested in walking like most people that he sees. He'll fuss and fuss most times on his belly, but give your hands for walking, and his face lights up like you've offered a giant candy bar!

Easter Trip to Indiana

Enjoy this slideshow of Zander's trip. I've been trying to put a few videos up, but they aren't currently working. Check back soon hopefully to see them. Thanks for the great visits to everyone we saw!

I Throw a Block, You Throw a Block

There are a lot of fun games Zander plays with blocks. Here is one he enjoys:

Cute Photos

Everyone, of course, thinks their child is super cute, and we're no different. Here are some recent photos of Zander- he's growing more and more each day and even has 4 teeth (although it's a bit tricky to get a photo of those...)

After a much needed bath, I put Zander's hat on to go for a walk. His hair had a great look for the next 48 hours until another bath came. Super cute!

Sometimes, when Zander reaches for something, he falls over. Here is a rare instance when it didn't seem to bother him.

And, one final smile:

Visit from Grandparents

Last week, Grandma and Grandpa Cummins came to visit. Here are a few rare photos where he let them hold him. Recently he is going through some severe separation anxiety, although at least now he will go to dad and not just mom. How long does this last?
